Right outside our hotel!

Our gypsy was speeding deeper into the jungle. Leaving behind whirls of light brown soil. Everyone was looking around to spot the rare yet famous Tigers of Jim Corbet. Everyone except me, my eyes were focused above our gypsy to find a leopard. After basic research, I had found out that population of leopards inContinue reading “Right outside our hotel!”

Flooded gutter and clean Floaters.

Faith in Gajanan Maharaj calls us every year to Shegaon, the land from where he appeared before the world. On a similar such pilgrimage we disembarked the train at Shegaon station. It was 11.30am, a bright sunny morning of July, usually a peak rainy season in India. A slight glaze though was visible all around,Continue reading “Flooded gutter and clean Floaters.”

Chaos is mindfulness!

Our whole family except the younger generation was going to the Ganga Sagar. This holy place is considered to be very peaceful as the swooshing Ganga meets the calm Bay of Bengal sea. Story of Sword.

We Indians like to decorate our houses with weapons for some reason. Antique looking swords are one of the majorly displayed weapons. This god painted mountain in the Western GhatsContinue reading “Munnar the confluence of three.”

Trips with college friends are always loud music, laughs, pranks and yes, some controversial games, right? Wrong, our college group went all silent within minutes and that too immediately after a nice dip in the forceful waterfall and snacking over crispy pakoras. We planned our small trip to Lonavala after multiple cancellations and shortlisting theContinue reading “Over the clouds!”

Garjiya: The protector against the wild.

With 30+ fatal animals and reptiles roaming around, Ramnagar needed some protection from the Jim Corbett National park. The locals of Ramnagar once prayed to Goddess Parvati and asked her for protection against the wild and the fiercely flooding Kosi river too. Then Parvati also known as Girija (Literal meaning the daughter of mountains) tookContinue reading “Garjiya: The protector against the wild.”

Nothing is Hot in Munnar.

After a sharp right turn, we could see a patch of light probably our destination we thought. The driver confirmed that it was Munnar, the paradise on Earth. Excited to smell the tea gardens we opened windows for about a second and immediately closed them. The freezing cold air hit our faces like thousands of small needles. The lobby clock showed 1℃ as the current temperature in small red just below 9:30pm in bold. As the kitchen was about to we went straight to the restaurant to find everything that was served was made almost from ice. Read the complete tale to find out how we find one thing which was warm in Munnar.
